There are a number of approaches you can take. 

 The costly way is to hire a website designer. However this involves a high cost, contracts and essentially a lack of control over your web pages.

 The completely free way is to set up a blog, through a site such as WordPress, Blogger or variety of different website editors.

 It is worth considering taking a short course at your local Adult Education centre which may provide courses on basic website design.  In just a  few weeks you can learn about all the methods we’ve discussed here in greater depth.
